For those of you who still love to hold a “real” book in your hands, HOME FIRES is now out in paperback. And if you find your search for a good read swamped in titles, here’s a word or two about this novel.

It’s the story of a woman faced with the distintegration of her family and caught in the cloud of accusation, suspicion, and fear that surround sexual betrayal and agression–from infidelity to rape to pedophilia to incest–obscuring truth. A story of our time.

It comes from years spent walking and beachcombing along the Santa Barbara coast, and it’s herione finds release and perspective in the meadow, cliffs, and sea beyond her window.

My copy of Home Fires arrived yesterday from Amazon. Having read the author’s other books, I know she addresses social issues of importance in an engaging way. I can’t wait to read it.
