Time Out to say Thank You

High time to take time out from spouting opinions and say thank you. Thank you to all who have read my blogs and read my books. Thank you to my daughter for her strength and caring. Thank you my writer friends, particularly my critique groups, past and present for the attention and care they have given my writing. Thank you my lifelong friends, especially my housemate, who puts up with me and tries to save me from myself. Thank you for our three basenjis and all of their predecessors  who remind us daily to care. Thank whatever forces have brought me to this corner of Washington State, where I look out on the Sound each morning and regain my sense of the size and beauty of the universe.

Winter evening

Thank you to the American people who voted for sanity and democracy despite its weaknesses and who continue to treat their fellow citizens with respect and cheer. Thank you to the first responders and health workers who continue to carry us through the pandemic. And thank you to all who carry deep in their hearts the maxims that underlie:

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

“We have nothing to fear but fear itself”

And Eat Well!
